Local Mission Opportunities

(visit Global Missions Opportunities)

Louisville Rescue Mission:

We serve the men at Louisville Rescue Mission on the first Saturday of each month.  We caravan from CCG at 4:30 pm, prepare a meal, have fellowship and worship at 5:30 pm, then serve dinner at 6 pm.

We also serve Christmas breakfast to the men at Louisville Rescue Mission, along with provide a gift to each one (suggested items: gloves, hats, socks, scarves, etc.)  If you would like to help in any way with this, please contact Darryn & Teri Lunders.  We'd love to have you join us!

There are many ongoing needs at Louisville Rescue Mission:
personal sized toiletries (shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, disposable razors, etc.), socks, towels, coffee, cream and sugar, plastic forks and spoons, plates, styro foam cup, laundry detergent and cleaning products.

Habitat Project:

On Saturday, May 19 from 9-Noon, the Oldham County Ministerial Association with Habitat, Crossroads Missions and our local churches will assist in building two houses.  No skills required.  We'll meet for breakfast at the LaGrange McDonalds then proceed to the LaGrange Baptist Church.  Contact Mary Henderson if you are interested in serving.

 Vacation Bible School:

Every year we host a VBS for the entire Prospect/Goshen area. We love sharing our time, songs, resources, and love with these kids. Watch for more information regarding 2018 VBS dates and theme.

Outdoor Movie Nights:

We gather as a community and eat, play and watch a movie on a ginormous outdoor movie screen. We have games, bouncies for the kids and free popcorn. We plan to show "Peter Rabbit" on Friday, June 8.  We always welcome your suggestions about the event - feel free to email us any time!
Movies begin at dusk.  We offer concessions for sale which help fund  missions.
